Background

As network scale and complexity surged across Turkey’s telecom market, TurkNet faced escalating DDoS threats that could disrupt backbone and customer services. To protect uptime and customer experience while sustaining rapid growth, the Turkish service provider needed end-to-end traffic visibility, real-time anomaly detection, and an automated way to stop attacks at the network edge—without adding operational burden.

Solution

With the help of its trusted partner Sekom, TurkNet deployed GenieATM in its data center to monitor and protect both backbone and customer traffic, covering up to 800 Gbps of network throughput. GenieATM detects anomalies in real time and, upon identifying malicious activity, automatically raises alerts and diverts attack traffic to A10 TPS scrubbing appliances. After scrubbing, clean traffic is returned to its intended destination. With GenieATM’s in-depth traffic reporting and Traffic Snapshot capabilities, operations teams can quickly investigate abnormal events, perform traffic forensics, and streamline troubleshooting.

Outcome

With GenieATM in place, TurkNet has strengthened its DDoS defense posture while gaining comprehensive visibility across its network. Automated mitigation minimizes service disruption, preserves performance for customers, and supports TurkNet’s reputation for price-competitive, high-quality connectivity. The improved forensics and troubleshooting workflow further reduce time-to-resolution, enabling the TurkNet to scale confidently in a highly competitive market.
