Genie Networks Recognized by Frost & Sullivan as Leader in APAC DDoS Detection Product Line Strategy

Genie Networks, a leader in network traffic analysis and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) security solutions, announced today that it has received the Frost & Sullivan Award for the “APAC DDoS Detection Product Line Strategy Leadership” category. The award recognizes Genie Networks for its excellence and commitment to developing a product line to address the DDoS security needs of communications service providers across the region.

Among all DDoS protection solutions in the current market, the real challenge lies in the fact that most of these products can do only link-based detection, which is extremely costly when deployed in a large scale network. Genie Networks offers a flow-based solution that can carry out DDoS detection and identification cost-efficiently and effectively in a large scale network deployment.

Genie’s product lineup complements linked-based DDoS mitigation solutions from various vendors. Genie is partnering with these vendors to offer a holistic DDoS protection service that could do both detection and mitigation from the cloud, including communications service providers’ networks. This strategy has earned Genie Networks the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Award.

“In a rapidly evolving threat landscape where DDoS attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and frequent, there is a need for security technologies that can detect and identify such attacks quickly and accurately,” said Frost & Sullivan Senior Industry Analyst Charles Lim.

“Genie Networks excels in this area, and has emerged to become a strong security vendor from Asia. Its robust DDoS detection system compliments the current DDoS mitigation technologies available, thereby enabling a holistic platform for DDoS protection.”

“We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious award by Frost & Sullivan,”said Denis Miu, Chief Executive Officer of Genie Networks. “The award recognizes the dedication and hard work from our GenieATM team. Leveraging our 15 years of experience in the communications service provider industry and anti-DDoS solution market, Genie Networks has been undergoing a period of rapid growth in sales as well as brand visibility. It is important that the market is aware Genie Networks continues to grow and develop, and this award confirms that we are.”

Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.
