Genie Networks Hits a Record High Revenue in First 6 Months of 2016
Genie Networks (“Genie”), a leading provider of traffic visibility and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection solutions, today announced that its revenue set a new first six-month record in H1 2016, driven by its sharp growth in Asia as well as in Europe.
For years Genie has been the market leader in Asia, with major deployments at most of the tier 1 service providers in Japan and China. In 2016, Genie has experienced unprecedented growth in Europe, setting a new record for the first 6 months period. This exceptional performance and revenue confirms the growing presence of Genie in Europe, and Genie’s solutions have been deployed at tier 1 service providers in the region.
Most DDoS appliance vendors today offer solutions that can filter attacks in-line but are unable to detect a DDoS threat from a network-wide point of view. Genie fulfills the market gap with a solution that enables a holistic approach toward network security, offering strong capabilities like traffic analytics, DDoS detection and mitigation. The fast growing pace of Genie’s presence in the DDoS protection market reflects its market-leading flow-based detection capability and capacity, and its flexible strategy to support interoperability and integration with all leading scrubbing device vendors, including A10, F5, Huawei and Radware. Genie’s robust traffic analysis and DDoS protection system compliments the in-line DDoS scrubbing technologies, thereby enabling a holistic platform for DDoS protection.
“Our team delivered Genie’s biggest six-month ever, and the exciting results include record revenue and numerous tier 1 service provider project wins,” said Denis Miu, CEO of Genie Networks.
“Genie is recently identified as one of the select preferred suppliers of NaWas, a collective effort to handle large scale Internet attacks on targets in the Netherlands. In addition, we currently have many exciting projects underway in Europe. As we are off to a fantastic start in 2016, with momentum accelerating rapidly, we are very confident to further increase our presence in the region.”
